Yes, I get that they're useless to the average viewer/user of Youtube but there's far more people consuming those 60 second shorts than videos these days. It's basically a creator's cheat code to subscribers/views/traffic and it seems like it's here to stay especially with all of the drama around "Will Tiktok be banned? Will Tiktok not be banned?" You can spam 100 of them but all you really need is 1 or 2 to take off and then they just keep going momentum wise out of nowhere.
